I know there are folks who are sad to see summer go, but let me say definitively…I am not one of them. I am a spring and fall girl, really. Winter isn’t terrible, though the heavier rainstorms do scare me a little. But myfavorite day, of all the days of the year, is that first true day of September. The day summer break and the sky is gently overcast until around 2 pm and I can start my day with warm tea and a sense of coziness.

It is also, I might add, the day I no longer need my air conditioner.

Well, today was that day. I’m headed to bed now, having totally enjoyed my first day of happy.

Here’s wishing some extra happy your way as well!

You know you don’t get out enough when you consider getting groceries a hot date.

Believe me, it’s not easy to express to your partner either. “Hey, Baby, you look unbelievably hot standing next to those refridgerated eggs. I’ve never wanted you more.”

Note: The guy in the beer-stained shirt perusing the sausages across from us was at at least appreciative.

Anyway, did my errands and made a to-do list and came up with some good mental notes for Tate. Oh, and my wii-fit status is showing nearly a whole 1 lb lost after my first month of exercise. I’d be decidedly underwhelmed if I hadn’t lost about 3 inches off my belly and an inch or two gone from most everywhere else. Not bad for a progress report, right?

I don’t get out much, as you can probably imagine. With the big heatwave going on, I’m out even less. Which paid off yesterday in a couple of ways.

Bubba’s school–See, there was an error at the district about his program. They had him auto-reg’d by address and not reg’d by his education plan. Which means they wouldn’t have had him in an autism program. Luckily, the angels in the district are on his side and he’s now lined up where he belongs.

I was also home to recieve a curious email from someone who wanted to know how to pronounce “Sibile”, which if you haven’t read “Tempting The Enemy” yet, is a pretty big part of the story. Why is this unusual? Because the man is working on the Audio version of the book!!! That’s right, you can soon get your Pale on without having to turn a page! Wooot!

Finally, we got to go swimming! I don’t like to take the babies because it’s hard to control them, but it was a whole family trip and it was AMAZING!! Plus, I got to beat the pants off my niece in a race. Not bad for the fat girl, lol!

Here’s hoping today is full of good things for us all!

There’s just no words for the excitement of a box on your porch, especially when you know what’s inside.

BOOOOOOOKS!!

Even more, when the miraculous books inside…have your name on em!

Okay, yeah, it’s a yay-me post, sorry, but I’m SO excited! Why? Because the books that arrived are “Burn For Me”, which releases in print next month!! That’s Raul and Penelope’s story and man, I just LOVE this story. Plus, hot Mexican guy on a big fiery cover. What’s not to love?

Lookie, lookie!!

You know how it is when you have to figure out the best way to meet everyone’s expectations? I find this is a constantly changing goal. That or my own expectations are too high.

That’s a real possibility.

I’ve been going over a lot of my daily duties and trying to sort out what needs to be part of my day or night. Especially with school out, it’s easy to get pulled in too many directions. Right now I have some priorities set.

Feed the kids.
Write–Tate first, then a few other proposals including a Blaze I really want to get out there.
Trimming the fat–mostly off me. I’ve been working out, which sucks in about 2 hours from the day. 45 for yoga and 30 mins for my 10 miles. Considering how lazy I am, this is quite enterprising. I’m just hoping it works. So odds are good most posts will revolve around those three things. Because goal four is to blog.

Which, by default, makes Goal 5 into doing stuff worth blogging about. ;)

Here’s to mid-year resolutions!

Hey gang!

I’ve discovered a new way to post! I can do it remotely from my iPod, which leaves me virtually no excuses for not posting. Well, you know, apart from doing nothing interesting.

Speaking of… I’ve been struggling of late to stay online. First, my airport plug died and started taking casualties. Can you say “fried router” cause I had to. Twice. Muy unpleasant. We have awesome wireless router now, but I think my aging laptop is having some trouble hanging on to signal. It just randomly falls off now. There’s a real temptation of smash it, but it is a out 4 years old now. Given how hard I am on comps, this is like being a hundred year old gladiator. I feel bad that I have to ask it to keep going another year (or five), but comps don’t grow on trees. If only. My sister’s died this week and it’s like losing a pet.

So I guess today’s lesson is… If you love your comp, give it a hug. ;)

Hugs to you as well,
Dee

It’s nearly time for the Savvy Authors’ Summer Symposium: 7pm EDT chat! If you’d like to come, I’m teaching on the above subject and hoping you all can make it!

Also, trying really hard not to choke up my diety-fruit lunch snack thinking about being the center of attention. Hope to see some friendly faces there!

Woot! Woot!!

The second half of my Lonnigan series, All Or Nothing, is out! That’s right, the long awaited story of Lucas and Belle is finally available from Samhain Publishing! (Click Here to check it out!)I’m in the midst of updates all over the place, so bear with me just a bit longer. :)

Till then, to celebrate, here’s the Official Trailer for “All Or Nothing”!

I’m visiting and sharing a bit of “All Or Nothing”! Come discuss great and unusual love stories you know and get a crack at winning a free copy!

Whipped Cream Blog

I’m also going to be doing a Chat Q&A at the Savvy Authors Summer Symposium on the 30th, 7pm EST! Topic: “5 Things Every Author Website Needs!” So, come on by and share your thoughts!

Nope, I’m not pregnant. (At least I better not be.)

It appears yet again, I’ve driven a piece of computer hardware into the ground. My Airport is no longer doing wireless signal. It THINKS it is. But it’s wrong. It won’t allow anyone to join it, so I spent the better part of yesterday trying to reset it. To no avail.

I sit here, shamefully attached to an Ethernet cord.

If it’s indeed broken, it will be the second Airport I’ve killed. The first lasted 5 years. This one, apparently 3. Considering that I’ve loved this one to make it last longer, this is extremely disappointing. Hopefully, it’s a conflict issue and can be corrected somehow.

Or I’ll have to move into the upstairs and never leave.

But on a better note, I’ve gotten several proposals planned out, now to just get them going. One of them is a Blaze prospect, actually, because I could use some good Rom Comedy, and it’s already been dubbed…”Pantsless”.

What, it starts with an absolutely naked hero. I couldn’t resist!
